Dental Implant Expectations
Complete Your Missing Smile with the Number One Solution
What Are Dental Implants?
Losing teeth can significantly affect your ability to bite and chew comfortably, limiting the variety of foods you enjoy. Each missing or damaged tooth increases strain on adjacent teeth, potentially leading to further dental problems and additional tooth loss. Fortunately, advancements in dental restoration now offer effective solutions through dental implants! Dental implants are highly regarded as the optimal choice for tooth replacement because they closely replicate the look and feel of natural teeth.
A surgically placed post integrates with the jawbone, serving as a sturdy foundation similar to a natural tooth root. An abutment attaches to the post, providing a secure connection for the final restoration, often a crown or bridge. This comprehensive approach ensures functionality, durability, longevity, and a natural appearance, making dental implants a superior solution for restoring both function and aesthetics after tooth loss. Our board-certified surgeons at Advanced Dental Implant Center are among the most highly qualified and experienced dental implant surgeons in the United States, ensuring you receive top-tier care!
How Can Dental Implants Benefit Your Smile?

- Look and feel completely natural
- Prevent jawbone loss
- Preserve the health of the gums and surrounding teeth
- Prevent other teeth from shifting
- No dietary restrictions
- Rebuild the beauty of your smile
- They last decades without frequent adjustments and replacements
Are Dental Implants Better Than Dental Bridges?
Modern dental implants have success rates exceeding 95% and have several benefits over traditional treatments such as dental bridges. With a bridge, your dentist shaves down teeth next to your missing tooth to create space for the restoration.
In addition to removing perfectly good tooth structure, shaving teeth down for a bridge may irritate the nerves of the teeth, leading to future root canals. With dental implants, the teeth next to the missing tooth are not touched. This eliminates unnecessary trauma to the adjacent teeth and the possible need for expensive and painful root canals.

Are You A Candidate For Dental Implants?
What to Expect from Your Dental Implant Procedure
Dental implants are a versatile solution to tooth loss that can be tailored to address your needs and smile goals. The first step in creating your custom dental implant treatment plan is a consultation, where we will discuss your concerns and goals for how you hope dental implants can improve your quality of life.
We will discuss your dental concerns, smile goals, and medical history. If you’re a good candidate for dental implants, we’ll collect detailed measurements and digital diagnostic images to create the foundation of your new smile design. We will customize every detail of your smile design, from the shape and color of each tooth to how your new teeth match your facial structure and gum and lip line.
As with every Advanced Dental Implant Center procedure, you’ll rest comfortably with safe and effective dental sedation. If you need tooth extractions, we may be able to place grafting material and implant posts in the same appointment.
In other cases, we’ll make a small incision in the gums to access the underlying bone and place your implants into predetermined spots within your jawbone. Once placed, we will attach an abutment connector and affix your temporary restoration. This temporary restoration will allow you to enjoy all the benefits of your new smile immediately, meaning you will never go without teeth.
During the 3-6 month healing period, you’ll have a follow-up appointment to assess the integration of your implants. This appointment includes a detailed discussion, where you can discuss your healing progress and any concerns. We will examine your implants and the healing of your sutures to ensure everything is proceeding as expected. Before you leave, we’ll provide a clear timeline for when you should return to receive your final restorations.
Your dental implant posts will fuse with the surrounding bone tissue during osseointegration. Most of your healing process will be very comfortable, and most patients report tolerable discomfort for the first few days.
Once your mouth has healed, you’ll return to our office for updated scans and to have your final restorations placed. These final restorations are hand-crafted from the highest-quality material and built to last. With proper at-home care and regular checkups, your dental implants have the potential to last an entire lifetime!
